What is patito?
patito is a tiny binary that sits alongside your AI command-line tools. It replaces the disposable micro-messages those tools print — spinner captions, idle notes, filler status — with short sponsored lines, and pays you a share of the revenue each one earns.

patito linkThe patito link command prints a short code and a URL. Open the URL, confirm the code matches, and the device is connected.
How earnings work
You earn a fixed share of the CPM an advertiser pays for each text-impression rendered on your machine. Earnings accrue in real time, settle daily, and are always visible in your dashboard. Withdraw whenever you cross the payout threshold.
Supported CLIs
patito currently supports four AI command-line tools, with more on the way:
- Claude Code
- Codex
- agy
- OpenCode
FAQ
Does patito read my code or prompts?
No. The injector only touches the disposable status and micro-messages a CLI prints between actions. Your prompts, code, files, and model output are never read or transmitted.
Will ads get in the way of my work?
Sponsored lines only replace throwaway filler text — the spinner captions and idle notes you already ignore. Nothing is added to your output or your codebase.
When do I get paid?
Earnings accrue per impression and settle daily. Withdraw to your bank or wallet once you pass the payout threshold.
Can I turn it off?
Any time. Run patito pause to stop injection, or uninstall the binary entirely. There are no lock-ins.
